Best Supported OS for cPanel installation :

When it comes to choosing an OS for a server this is a question that has been debated for a while and I think a lot of the choice depends on the preference and experience of the person making the choice.

Windows Server does not support Cpanel so Plesk is best alternatives solution for Windows Hosting  it as like cPanel, that lets you easily manage your web hosting account through a web-based interface

cPanel support Linux based OS as like CentOS versions 6.5 or Later, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® versions 5.x, 6.x, 7.x , Ubuntu Server,  CloudLinux 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and Amazon Linux

We strongly recommend using CentOS or Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® if you are not an experienced FreeBSD administrator
