Best Supported OS for cPanel installation :

When it comes to choosing an OS for a server this is a question that has been debated for a while and I think a lot of the choice depends on the preference and experience of the person making the choice .

Windows Server does not support Cpanel so Plesk is best alternatives solution for Windows Hosting  it as like cPanel, that lets you easily manage your web hosting account through a web-based interface

cPanel support Linux based OS as like CentOS versions 6.5 or Later , Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® versions 5.x, 6.x, 7.x , Ubuntu Server,  CloudLinux 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and Amazon Linux

We strongly recommend using CentOS or Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® if you are not an experienced FreeBSD administrator
